“Many people die with their music still in them. Why is this so? Too often it is because they are always getting ready to live. Before they know it, time runs out.”
~ Oliver Wendell Holmes
Sadly, this happens a lot — too many people are slowly dying with their music still in them. Work, family responsibilities and other stuff of day-to-day living get in the way of “releasing their music” and developing their talent.
I heard this on a radio program one morning and it really hit me…
The richest places in the world are the cemeteries. Why?
These are the places where the greatest ideas for business, science and technology — which could have changed the world — are buried. These are the places where amazing music, art, poetry and other beautiful things — which could have healed and given so much joy to millions of people — are buried.
These talents and skills never had a chance to be shared with the world. How tragic!
How do you keep this from happening to you?
If you have special talents or skills, find a way to nurture them. Life is way too short. Do it now!
By expressing, experiencing and enjoying your special gifts, you can make a difference in your own life. You can find more meaning, bring more passion and happiness into your life.
- Are you dreaming about writing a book or a novel? You can take action and self-publish your own books.
- Do you love to sing or create music? You can take action and use “self-publishing” or do-it-yourself tools to create a CD, DVD or mp3 of your music.
- Do you enjoy making people laugh? You can take action and use “self-publishing” or do-it-yourself tools to create a CD, DVD or mp3 of your comedy routine.
- Do you love to dance? You can take action and participate in dance contests. If you’re super-talented, develop your self-confidence and audition for dance performances.
- There so many things you can do to pursue your passion online and offline.
What’s even better is using your talents or skills for a higher purpose — you can make a difference in the lives of others.
